The National Insurance Board (NIB) family gathered at the historic Grants Town Wesley Methodist Church to mark a significant milestone—NIB’s 50th anniversary. This church, which was the first place of worship for the NIB family five decades ago, provided a reflective and fitting backdrop for the commemorative service.
Led by Senior Pastor Rev. Henry Knowles, the service centered around a fitting and inspiring message on understanding one’s purpose—a theme that resonated deeply with NIB as it continues its mission to provide a robust social safety net for generations of Bahamians.
Adding a personal touch to the service, NIB’s own union leaders, Luchanio Seymour and Nadia Vanderpool, participated in the scripture readings. Presenting a strong sense of community in attendance were the Minister of Immigration and National Insurance The Hon. Alfred Sears; accompanied by senior members of his staff including Permanent Secretary Ellison Greenslade. Chairman Philip Mckenzie was accompanied by Board Members, Executives, and staff. The service provided a moment of reflection and celebration for all in attendance.
